Police appeal after brutal Wigan train assault
The British Transport Police (BTP) have sent out CCTV pictures following the sickening incident on a Northern service between Appley Bridge and Wigan Wallgate.

Hide AdA man was kicked in the side and the young yobs disgustingly spat in a mum's face.
The attack happened after a group of youths were asked by the father of a young baby to be careful as they had knocked the child's pram.
The situation quickly escalated into a verbal argument with the family being threatened by the gang.
The father then had a bottle thrown at him and when he fell to the floor they booted him, also spitting in the face of the baby's mother.

Hide AdBTP officers say the boys in the picture could have information that will help their investigation into the incident, which happened on Tuesday May 29 between 5.45pm and 6.10pm.
