A man found with two irritant sprays and a knuckleduster has been given a two-year community order.
Phillip Derricott, 49, of Rowan Avenue, Beech Hill, had already pleaded guilty on an appearance before Wigan and Leigh magistrates to possessing the two noxious substance containers, the weapon and a quantity of cocaine on June 30, 2019.
The case having been committed to Bolton Crown Court by the bench, he has since been ordered by a judge to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and 25 days of rehabilitation activities. The weapons were also confiscated.
