Investigation launched after man dies in crash on main road
and live on Freeview channel 276
The orange Land Rover Freelander and white Volvo artic HGV collided on Mosley Common Road in Tyldesley at around 10pm on Tuesday.
Emergency services attended and a 38-year-old man, the driver of the Land Rover Freelander, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hide AdA passenger in the car suffered minor injuries. The driver of the HGV also suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 9.56pm on Tuesday, December 15, firefighters were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Mosley Common Road in Tyldesley.
“Fire engines from Farnworth, Atherton, the technical response unit and support from Leigh fire station quickly attended the scene.
“The collision involved a light goods vehicle and a car. Fire service personnel assisted colleagues from North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Police at the scene. Fire crews were in attendance for three hours.”

Hide AdPC Paul Clarke, of Greater Manchester Police's serious collision investigation unit, said: "We're investigating the circumstances around this tragic collision and would ask anyone with information that may assist us to come forward.
"Our thoughts remain with the man's family and specialist officers are supporting them.
