Gerald Krasner reacts to Wigan Athletic EFL summit meeting
The club's proposed new owners - a Spanish consortium fronted by Jose Miguel Garrido Cristo - yesterday met with the EFL, along with the administrators and the Supporters Club.
It's thought a final decision will not be known for at least a week, as the EFL go through the business plan with a fine tooth comb - determined to avoid a repeat of the IEC/NLF shambles that saw the club being placed into administration on July 1

"And it was basically between the EFL and the bidders, and their interpreters.
"Next week is another week. As for what the EFL are thinking, I've no idea."
Krasner stated four weeks ago he believed a decision on the takeover would be known 'by the end of the month'.

"I have no expectations at all - positive or negative," he said.
"But the Premier League took six months in total with Newcastle.
"I was told it would take three or four weeks - and we're still waiting.

"They have a process that, shall we say, hasn't worked historically.
"So they'll give us a decision as soon as they've come to it.
"All of the questions are between the bidders and the EFL.
"They've got all the information they need from us, they've got the sales contract.
"In the meantime it's a case of us sitting and waiting."
