Wigan boxer's hopes for a knock-out end to year
The rising star from Hindley has enjoyed a successful 2018, which has seen him extend his professional record to eight wins and zero losses and capture his first career title back in June. Now the 25-year-old’s focus is on his fight on December 8 in Bolton. Moorcroft said: “I want to finish 2018 in style. “I’ve not lost a round yet, and I’m looking to end 2018 with another quality performance where I win every round. If a stoppage comes, I’ll take it to him, but if it doesn’t, I want a great fight from start to finish with no lapses. I want a good 2018 that I can look back on and remember.“I’d love to end the year on a high for everybody, so we can enjoy a fantastic Christmas. I want this to be my best fight ever, and I’m going to put everything I can into this camp. “I want to end on a massive high so then everyone who has supported me can go out on a good year, and we can start to look forward to getting some great fights next year in 2019.”Although 2018 has been a good year for Moorcroft and his coaching team, he revealed he has put all celebrations on hold before his next fight. He said: “I’ve achieved a few of my childhood dreams over the last 12 months. “I’ve created so many special memories for my family, and second family at Blundell’s Boxing, and I cannot thank everyone enough for their continued support throughout this past year.”
