A small number of schools and colleges across Wigan are currently rated as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted – the Office for Standards in Education.

These are the schools and colleges within a five-mile radius of Wigan town centre which have been given the special badge of honour.

Our original article only included schools within a three-mile radius.
