Girl, 17, confesses to house break-in

A girl who broke into a home and smashed a window has been referred to the Wigan youth offender panel for eight months.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named, appeared before Wigan Youth Court to admit burgling an address in Leigh and causing £100 damage to the window with the intention of causing further damage to another girl’s property.
