People can ask Prof Kate Ardern about the current rules or seek clarity regarding their personal circumstances.

The session will begin at 5pm on Thursday on Wigan Council’s Facebook page.

It comes as Covid-19 infection rates rise in the borough, despite being lower than in neighbouring areas earlier in the pandemic.

The council is urging people to play their part in preventing the spread of the virus and help to save lives.

Wigan and the rest of Greater Manchester are currently at “very high alert” and tier three restrictions are in place.

People with symptoms of coronavirus are told to isolate at home and can book at test at www.wigan.gov.uk/covidtest.
