Members of the CrossFit JST gym in Leyland Mill Lane, pushed themselves to their physical limits to help raise funds and awareness of both Mind, a mental health charity, and CALM. (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

Fitness challenges included assault courses, gymnastic reps, rowing and deadlifts. Their efforts, which took place during last weekend’s heatwave, raised £3,613 for the two charities, through a mixture of sponsorship, merchandise sales, a raffle and a barbecue - the food for which was supplied by

England and Sons butchers in Pemberton. The only downside was that the day was cut short by England’s World Cup quarter final against Sweden!
