Wheelchair wait misery for disabled Wiganers
Disabled people in Wigan are being forced to wait more than four months for a wheelcahir from the NHS figures reveal.
Charities have warned that substantial gaps in provision across England are leaving many disabled people without the equipment they need affecting their independence and in some instances leaving them in pain and discomfort.
New figures show that 10 people had to wait longer than the 18-week window in the Wigan area.
