Summer memories: hot days at Haigh Hall

Having basked in warm sunshine for a few days, it was almost inevitable the weather would take a turn for the worse. But summer ain’t over yet and in the meanwhile, here’s a reminder of balmy Julys and Augusts past at Haigh Hall.

These pictures were mainly taken in the 1970s to 1990s and include several from the famous drought year of 1976.
