FORMER X Factor singer Laura White is celebrating her first number one.
The Atherton star revealed on Facebook that she has a written a song which has reached number one in China and in Malaysia.
The tune, originally called Damn Baby, but changed to I’m Falling, was recorded by singer Gin Lee, and Laura is delighted to have her hard work heard.
She exclusively told Goss: “It’s so amazing.
“The song will be on my album, however for now it has reached number one in china and Malaysia and number three in Hong Kong and 1 in Malaysia.
“It is very exciting. Gin Lee recorded it, but my version will be on my album, which will be released soon.”
Proud dad Adrian added: “Laura is doing really well. She has had a few highs and lows with the industry, but things like this give her a real boost.”
Meanwhile, she will perform in Bolton’s Olympic Torch celebration concert on Thursday, May 31.
She will appear alongside chart toppers The Wombats when the Olympic flame comes to Bolton.
The singer, who famously appeared on the X Factor talent show in 2008, said: “I feel privileged and excited about performing on the night the Olympic torch passes through my hometown.
“The thought of the Olympic torch coming through Bolton is so exciting and to be given the opportunity to perform on the night is fantastic.
“I can’t wait.”
And later on her Facebook she couldn’t contain her excitement, as she wrote: “I am singing for the Olympics. The one representing Bolton! yeyyyyy my papa is so proud.”
