Georgina Kelly, 71, from Wigan, and 76-year-old John Salmon, who is from Newcastle-under-Lyne got married at St Marie’s Church in Standish on Saturday surrounded by their family.

The couple met on a Catholic singles site last year after both their partners had passed away and will be moving in together to a house in Norley Hall.

They released two white doves on the day outside the church following the ceremony in memory of their partners before heading off for a reception at The Elms.
