YOU’VE seen them on X Factor – now you can meet them in person.

Exciting new boyband Kingsland Road are the VIP guests at this year’s Christmas lights switch-on in Wigan town centre on Thursday.

And the Wigan Evening Post has teamed up with Wigan Town Centre management, The Galleries and Grand Arcade to offer one lucky youngster and five friends the chance to have an exclusive audience with the group.

The winners will not only be treated to a 30 minute personal audience with all five guys, they will have their photograph taken with them, get their autographs and have the chance to ask them lots of questions too!

To win a chance to meet and greet the talented Kingsland Road after they perform and switch on Wigan’s Christmas lights, simply e-mail information@grand-arcade.co.uk with your name, age, contact number and “Wigan Town Centre Christmas Competition to meet Kingsland Road” in the subject title, telling the events team why you should be the lucky ones meet them. The winner will be chosen and notified before the event. The closing date is Tuesday, November 12 at 3pm.

Kingsland Road are a fantastic new boyband based in East London. Thompson, Matt, Connor, Josh and Jay have been entertaining the nation on the X-Factor Live Shows with their brilliant vocals and signature moves.

Wigan’s Christmas light switch-on event takes place between 4pm and 7.30pm in the town centre. The five piece boy band Kingsland Road will perform on stage and then turn on the town’s lights along with a host of other stars on the huge 60ft stage. The evenings hosts, radio presenters Danny Bee and Luke Marsden will welcome and introduce the acts on stage, including: Ricky Birchall, Amy B, Olly Jacob, Olivia Archbold, Zoe Unsworth, Heidi Anne, Wigan TV star Scott Chapman along with Myth of Unity and the very funny The Keith Teeth and Friends will keep the crowds amused too.

Wigan Athletic dancers and Wigan Warriors cheerleaders will perform on stage and join in with the town’s free festive event launching late night shopping in the town with stores open until 8pm.
