LEIGH MP Andy Burnham has likened last weekend’s Eurovision bid to the previous Labour leadership result being announced in 2010.
As the favourite to become the next leader of the party, Andy was speaking as guest columnist in The Daily Mirror. He said: “When I was sitting with the kids watching the Eurovision results come in, I had a sense of deja vu. It was like being back in Manchester when the last Labour leadership result was announced. If it’s any comfort to (UK entrant) Electro Velvet, I know how you feel.”

He also wrote that - even as an Everton fan - £40 is too much for a Premier League ticket, favouring the Twenty’s Plenty campaign.
