KYM Marsh will be spending this Christmas planning her wedding to Dan Hooper.
Although she is yet to set a date, Closer magazine has speculated that a New Year’s Eve wedding could be possible.
A source said: “Kym and Dan know it’s right and want to get hitched as soon as possible. They’ve even discussed tying the knot on New Year’s Eve in an intimate ceremony with immediate family.”
But Goss towers believes it may be more likely next year, as the Coronation Street actress, who hails from Ashton, has chosen to keep her timescales to herself in her OK! column.
Instead she said: “I’ve been on cloud nine since Dan proposed. We are both very excited. I didn’t have a clue he was going to pop the question.
“Dan asked my dad, Dave, for my hand in marriage beforehand, which I thought was very sweet.
“My children are ecstatic, as they adore him.
“My mum and dad are over the moon, All they have ever wanted was for someone to look after me because I’m their princess and they know I have found a supportive partner in Dan.”
Christmas will be a grand family affair as Dan’s parents and brother, plus her own brother, Dave, will be going to their home for a big turkey dinner.
She said: “I’ll cook the roast and my brother will help out - he makes wicked gravy.
“Dan’s mum and dad are going to bring the starter and my son David is going to make the dessert, as he is a good little cook.
“We’ll get Emilie to sing a few songs too. Whether I sing or not depends on how many glasses of wine I drink.
“On Boxing Day we’ll get together with my mum and dad and the rest of my family for some turkey sandwiches. I can’t wait.”
She added that she will have her three-year-old daughter Polly on Christmas Eve and the following morning and her dad, Kym’s ex-husband Jamie Lomas, will pick her on in the afternoon.
Kym added: “It’s always hard letting her go, especially during the festive period, but I’ve always alternated with Emilie and David’s dad too, and Polly is Jamie’s daughter too, so you have to be fair about these things.”
