THE first pictures of ITV1’s sports talent show Let’s Get Gold have been released, hosted by Vernon Kay, have been released.

England cricketer Freddie Flintoff, Saturdays singer Una Healy, footballer Rio Ferdinand and former EastEnders actress Martine McCutcheon are the shows judges who will give their verdict on sporting groups’ abilities and techniques.

Vernon, a former St John Rigby pupil, said: “With the Olympics just around the corner and sport fever hitting the UK, this show provides the stage for local sporting teams to show off their skills and sporting prowess in breathtaking performances.

“With a huge cash prize up for grabs and an all-star panel of famous pundits from the worlds of showbiz and sport, this series promises to be the ultimate sporting battle.”

Judge Una Healy added: “I’m so excited to be part of Let’s Get Gold. I’m looking forward to seeing all the sporting talent that Britain has to offer.

“It’ll be fun to see how these teams will put an entertainment spin on sports such as rugby and golf. I can’t wait to get started!”

Let’s Get Gold, which runs on three consecutive nights, begins on July 5, from 9pm until 10pm on ITV1.
