KYM Marsh’s daughter Emilie Cunliffe has thanked fans for their support after receiving online abuse for her appearance on The Voice.
The 16-year-old failed to impress the four judges on the BBC talent show and bitter trolls attacked her performance.
But she has received many nice messages and Emilie thanked her fans, writing: “I can’t believe people are still tweeting me! Thank you so much everyone for the support! Thank you for all the positive feedback, means a lot x.” She previously wrote: “Thanks everyone for all my amazing feedback on my @BBCTheVoiceUK audition! I will never give up, I’m determined to make my dream come true x.”
Kym said in her OK! column: “Emilie was great about it, she obviously got teary but she was sayong what a great experience she had. If it’s what she really wants to do with her life then she has to go through these things. I did have some reservations about her going down this route. I know how difficult it is to maintain a career. However, this is not the last you have seen of her. She is very determined and talented. It will happen for her.”
The youngster has also had a fake profile created using her pictures on dating website Plenty of Fish.
It has also been announced that Kym’s Coronation Street character Michelle Connor is to marry Steve McDonald in the summer. Kym said: She said: “I’m absolutely delighted. It totally makes sense for us as characters to get married, and Simon and I love working together. Nobody likes seeing us break up, apart from Tracy Barlow!”
