KAY Burley has celebrated her 25th anniversary at Sky News by signing a five-year contract.

The former Beech Hill resident has covered some of the biggest breaking stories including the terrorist attacks in America on September 11, 2001, the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami on Boxing Day 2004, the disappearance of five-year-old April Jones in 2012, and the birth of Prince George.

She said: “When I joined Sky News, the aim was to break the mould by offering viewers the choice of when to watch news, I am immensely proud of what we continue to achieve.”
