SKY News reader Kay Burley is relishing the publication of her second literary novel.

Hot on the heels of First Ladies, which was released last year, detailing the tangled love lives of a politician and a journalist, comes Kay’s second offering - Betrayal.

The novel tells the chilling tale of newsroom rivalry as a woman’s world is turned upside down after discovering a deadly secret.

The 51-year-old, who grew up in Beech Hill, also revealed all about her private life, hinting that she had more than one suitor.

She told Star magazine: “I always say I am not without my suitors. I’ve got more than one, but less than six.”

She also spoke of her two marriages and the only REAL man in her life - her son, Alexander.

She said: “I always say I have had two successful marriages.

“But I’ve got a well-balanced, charming young man (Alexander), who is at London School of Economics reading politics, so that’s my biggest job - as a parent - and hopefully I did that as well as I could.

“It’s a shame my marriages didn’t work out but I don’t think the pressure of my job really had anything to do with that.

“I’m still good friends with both of my ex-husbands.”

She added that she has no major plans to re-marry, but she may surprise herself.

The former Wigan Evening Post reporter also added she has been approached to host her own radio show, but is still thinking about it.

Betrayal is out now, at £7.99.
