KYM Marsh has returned to her Leigh personal trainer in a bid to get back in shape.

The Ashton-born actress has decided to go back to Matt Baker, who runs M1Health in Manchester, as she focuses on exercise following her break-up with ex-fiance Dan Hooper.

They are the best trainers I have every had, I know I will get results working out with them

Kym had a short fling with Matt, of Leigh, but she insists it is strictly business.

She said: “I am training with Matt as we have remained friends and also his business partner, Sam Witter. To be honest, they are the best trainers I have every had, I know I will get results working out with them. We also have mutual friends so they can check up if I’ve been out drinking or eating the wrong food.”

The Coronation Street star has just returned back from a family holiday in Majorca, where she celebrated her 39th birthday.

Her dad, Dave was also there and suffered a bad eye injury after he slipped on the kitchen floor.

Kym wrote in her OK! column: “He fell over and banged his head on the side of the glass table - he banged the table so hard it moved across the floor. We think he was unconscious for a few minutes.

“When he came round he was shouting but no-one could hear. He made it upstairs and was covered in blood. He fractured his eye socket - it was like a golf ball and all purple. He went to the hospital and thankfully they gave him the all clear.”

Meanwhile, not content with being in the nation’s favourite soap, the former Hear’Say singer wants to try her hand at being a judge of Britain’s Got Talent.

She said: “I’d love to have the chance to judge on one of those shows one day, but I think I’d be better on Britain’s Got Talent than The X Factor. I’m a Jack-of-all-trades, so I might be better suited to that. So far Simon [Cowell] keeps passing me by! I know what it’s like to go through a reality show - I could empathise with the contestants as I know how they’re feeling.”

She added she was not sure BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw was the best choice for the X Factor judging panel following the announcement he and Rita Ora are to join Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez Versini on the show later this year.
