SINGER Laura White is celebrating after having a top 40 UK hit and a top 20 album.
The former X Factor star has penned Rita Ora’s NY Raining, which reached 30 in the singles chart and as it was featured on hit American series Empire, it was featured its album, which reached 18 in the UK chart.
The track also charted US Billboard Number One in America and is also featured on a TV advert for Samsung Galaxy S6.
The excited artist posted on social media: “Today I have a top 40 uk hit and top 20 album! #proudwriter #celebrate.”
The Atherton-born singer is also releasing a new single - her first under her label Turn First Artists/ Universal Records - in September.
But despite her busy lifestyle and success, the 27-year-old does not forget her fans, or budding singers who are in the position she once was, as she posted on Facebook: “I will always listen to every song written and sent to me, every demo of any singer needing advice or guidance and every email/message I receive because I know what it was like trying to get heard and not even being listened to. So even if it’s 6 emails or 6 million that you send to me, I WILL reply and listen to every, single one:) #proud.”

She is currently working on songs for her EP. The starlet recently posted: “Just finished the final vocals on one of my Songs on the upcoming EP #getexcited #studioDONE!”
Laura has also written songs for other artists including Rihanna, Eliza Doolittle and Leona Lewis.
