STILL riding high on the success of The X Factor, former contestant Laura White is performing at the V Festival today.
The 25-year-old from Atherton, who shot to fame in 2008 through the reality TV series, has been asked to sing on some of K-Koke’s tracks today, as he performs on the arena stage,
Speaking exclusively to Goss before the big event, which also includes Jessie J, Beyonce, The Script And The Courteeners, she said: “I am so excited to play V festival.
“K Koke has asked me to feat on his tracks performing for Rita Ora, Maverick Sabre and Bridget Kelly and I can’t wait!
“I haven’t been to V yet so it’s my first time and I’m performing.
“I cant wait. I am going to watch Beyonce and I can’t wait to see Ed Drewitt as I’m a fan of his writing. “It’s going to be epic. I want all of my Wigan fans there cheering me on and I hope to see them at my concerts this autumn.”
Laura, who performs under the name of Martha, will be releasing her first EP in mid October, and will feature four original tracks.
She said: “I’m 25 now and ready now to release finally.
“My EP will be out in October under the artist name of Martha.
“Martha is my new project and the artist name I will now perform under.
“I write all my own material and fans can buy this on iTunes then and will see all on my sites.
“It is truly my everything and I hope everyone loves it and supports the music.”
But despite her life being in London, Laura still stays loyal to her roots loves coming back home.
She said; “I come back to Atherton as much as I can, actually I was there a few weekends ago with my family.
“It is not very often at the minute though, as I’m so busy writing and recording the EP.”
