The Ashton-born actress was delighted to finally sell the Manchester property she bought with ex-husband Jamie Lomas and has now rented a house nearby with Matt Baker, of Leigh.

The Coronation Street actress told OK: “At last we’ve sold it! We’ve been busy packing up boxes recently. I did have a panic the other day as everything’s happening at once.

“Part of me will miss it as it was my home for six years and Polly grew up there. It’s the end of an era, but there’s something quite exciting about the idea of a new beginning.”

She added that she and Matt have not yet decided to buy a place together, but happy seeing how things progress as they share a rented house.

She said: “We’ve found a place to rent on a short-term lease. We’re going to stay in the same areas, as we are not sure where we want to live yet. I’m reluctant to move Polly’s school and then change my mind about where I want to live. I don’t want to disrupt her.”

The move comes just before the couple celebrate their one-year anniversary of when they reunited. She even hinted she may marry again. She said: “I’d never say never. We’ve spoken about our future together and we’re just seeing how it goes.”

Meanwhile Kym recently turned 40 and her eldest son, David, had his 21st birthday, and celebrated in style with a lavish bash with her family and celebrity pals, including her soap cast mates.

She said: “I’ve just accepted I’m old now. Going from my twenties to my thirties seemed worse for me. I’m in a good place now as I’ve been in Corrie for 10 years, but back then I’d just joined and I wondered where my career was heading. Also, I was married to Jack Ryder when I was 30 and we split when I was 32, so it was a time of change, whereas now I feel settled.

“I have three children and my little angel, Archie, who looks over us all. I’ve finished having kids now, so I feel I’ve got a really good idea of what my life looks like for the foreseeable future and that’s comforting. I’m happy with work and I’m happy with my personal life too.”
