Local adventurers tell of their travels
Three local adventurers came to the borough to share their tales of derring-do at The Old Courts in Wiganers Go Wild.
Standish traveller and mountaineer Oli France, novelist and former policeman and soldier Michael J Hunt and Egyptian explorer Lee Robert McStein regaled the audience with their intrepid and globetrotting adventures.

Author Michael, meanwhile, is now settled in Wigan after an intrepid life that included spending 14 years in central Africa working on a tobacco farm and in a bank.
Lee has a particular connection with Egypt, travelling between north Africa and the UK to do fieldwork where he encountered scorpions, AK47s and dubious toilets as well as blistering desert heat.
After hearing their talks and stories the audience at the Crawford Street culture were able to ask them questions about their travels.
