AS part of local newspaper week and Johnston Press’ Making A Difference campaign, news editor Charles Graham interviewed Emma Hoolin’s mum Jill to see how little Emma is getting on after her recent magical milestone of two years without relapse from her life-threatening condition.

Emma, who lives with her mum, dad and older sister in Whitley, was diagnosed with high risk neuroblastoma - a potentially terminal disease when she was just four-years-old.

The youngster, now seven - with help from the readers of the Wigan Observer who helped raise more than £200,000 for pioneering treatment in America - is living life to the full and is happy, healthy and full of smiles.
