KYM Marsh’s daughter has been working on her first single.
Since her failed audition on The Voice, Emilie Cunliffe has vowed not to give up and her determination has caught the eye of music producers Damon Hess and Wayne Lineker - the brother of ex-footballer Gary.
The 16-year-old has been in the studio, working on a song for their IBZ Nights EP.
Proud mum Kym said: “They watched her on The Voice and saw how talented she was and said they really wanted to work with her. She’s really looking forward to it.”
Meanwhile, Kym has been all about her family over the last few weeks.
She helped to launch Good Morning Britain’s Mum in a Million campaign, with her mother, Pauline Marsh, and her two daughters, Emilie and Polly.
The Ashton actress told OK! magazine: “My mum was really nervous. Emilie was pretty chilled out but she gets a little bit tongue-tied and Polly was just interested in eating the apples in front of us.”
The Coronation Street actress also spoke about marking the sixth anniversary of baby Archie’s death, explaining that each year the family light a candle next to his ashes and this year they set off a lantern.
In Corrie-land, Kym revealed that her character Michelle and partner Steve could lose The Rovers pub...
In other news, crews were spotted filming at The Old Boathouse, in Astley, this week. Staff at the restaurant remained tight-lipped about what was going on, but were excited to be chosen as the location.
The scenes are expected to be shown in early spring.
And Catherine Tyldesley will bow out of the soap next week as she prepares for motherhood with fiance, Standish-born Tom Pitfield.
Fans will see the breakdown of Eva Price and Jason Grimshaw’s relationship, as he accuses her of having an affair with his dad and she flees to France to see her gran.
Admitting it was emotional leaving, she said she can’t wait to return, saying: “I can’t wait to see her storm back onto those cobbles. I’m really hoping for some more fab storylines when I return. I’m sure I’ll be ready for it!”
