FATHERS-to-be can now have their own baby celebration, as Standish fitness instructor Tom Pitfield enjoyed a daddy bath.
The-27-year-old made sure he didn’t miss out as fiance Catherine Tyldesley had a celeb-filled baby shower.
The Coronation Street actress told OK! magazine: “Tom had a great idea. He said: ‘If you’re having a baby shower, I’m having a daddy bath.’ So he got 25 of his friends and rented out the private bowling alley in town and had a daddy bath at the same time as mine.”
Catherine said she got some lovely presents as her Corrie pals attended, including Lucy-Jo Hudson, who is ambassador of Wigan charity Joining Jack.
With more than a month to go, Catherine is excited about giving birth.
She said: “Now it’s really close I am actually excited about going into labour. I’m so impatient and that’s when I’ll know he is on his way.
“I’m going to be nervous because I have never done it before, but we are ready. The baby’s room is all set now.”
Catherine also joked that co-star Anthony Cotton (Sean) would be a stand-in birth partner in case Tom faints.
She said: “I think I would end up killing him but he would definitely make me laugh. He would turn it in a Carry On film. He’d be more likely to faint than Tom. Tom will be okay as he is laid back.”
Catherine added that she had a shortlist of four names, but said: “We don’t want to decide until we see his face. Something will click and we will be sure.”
