Singer Andy Brown, who attended Winstanley College, said: “It was important as a band that we come back with something fresh and exciting. Roads feels like a step forward. It explores addictions that people can go through. Writing and recording at Blackbird allowed us to test ourselves and try new sounds and directions. We’re really proud of it.”
It’s the first taste of the four-piece’s new album, which will follow 2012’s Chapman Square, which reached No 4 in the UK.
They play at Live At Leeds and The Great Escape, plus Manchester Gorilla on March 30; London Scala on March 31 and Glasgow Garage on April 2.
