FATHER Christmas has made his first visit of the year to Wigan.
Hundreds turned out for the annual Santa parade through the town centre yesterday (Sunday) to see the big man himself alongside his reindeer.
The parade left Mesnes Park at 1pm before arriving at Market Place at 1.30pm.
It included Santa, four of his magical reindeer, marching bands, costume characters, stilt walkers, fire eaters, acrobatic elves, snowmen and much more.
After the event, Market Place was then lit up as the performers entertained the crowds along with Santa and his reindeer until 4pm.
