WIGAN singer Scott Chapman is releasing his debut single.

Scott, who helped turn the Wigan Christmas Lights on, has received such a great response from the public that he has decided to make his first attack on the charts.

Since winning Wigan’s Got Talent in 2007 and performing at several events in Wigan and around the North West, Scott has gone on to appear on ITV1’s Alan Titchmarsh Show and he regularly performs in front of TV, Sports and Soap star personalities as well as helping to raise money for the less fortunate, by performing at many various charity and sporting events.

Scott, whose voice is likened to that Canadian singing sensation Michael Buble, is a keen writer of music as well as a singer and his song Find Me has now been accepted and released as a single on iTunes.

“It has been a long process to try and get my own original material out there,” explained Scott. “But thanks to family, friends, fans and online support from my own website and YouTube, the material has been accepted on to iTunes which is absolutely fantastic.

“It means fans that have been waiting to purchase my music here and in other countries can now do so”.

Scott, 20, studies music and sound at Edge Hill University and has juggled his time there with writing and producing the single on his own.

Also available now on iTunes is the album Scott & Ben (The Mixed Motion) an album written again by Scott and performed by Scott and his best friend Ben Fearnley who is on guitar.

He added: “A special thanks to Dennis Wood from The Royal British Legion (now known as Wigan Social Club) in Upper Dicconson Street for allowing many practice sessions to take place.

“The single and album released on January 11 have already received some rave reviews in such a short space of time with five star ratings and some fantastic comments.”
