Second chance for Lucy Jo and Alan

Fans were shocked to hear that the couple had split in March, but following a romantic trip to Paris, they are back on track.

It has been reported that the pair, who have been together for more than 10 years, had drifted apart and their marriage had gone a bit “stale” but determined not to lose his wife, Alan booked a surprise romantic get-away.

Last week Alan appeared to confirm the reunion when he sent a gushing birthday message to his wife on her 33rd birthday. It read: “Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife @LucyJo_Hudson who is 33 today love you so much darling, and cannot wait for Paris.”

Meanwhile Lucy-Jo, who is ambassador of Wigan charity Joining Jack, sounded equally as smitten and was clearly excited about the trip, replying with 10 heart-eyed emojis, and writing: “#luckygirl” alongside it.

They have since been spotted indulging in a PDA session at a charity football match last week.

Lucy-Jo was briefly linked to Doctors co-star Andy Moss during the separation, although that has never been confirmed.

It appears the rumours made the couple realise they wanted to give their marriage another go for the sake of daughter Sienna Rose, who was born in 2013. The pair met on the set of Coronation Street in 2002 and married in 2009. Lucy Jo played Katy Harris, who was killed of, whilst Alan still remains as Tyrone Dobbs.
