WIGAN music fans are being asked to support a charity single to raise awareness of human trafficking.

Manchester-based group LZ7 has teamed up with worship leader Matt Redman to release 27 million to highlight the issue and campaign to the government to end it or do more to stop it.

Wigan fans showed their support at a recent gig in Manchester and churches across the borough also support it.

David Cartwright, a member of Bryn Baptist Church, said: “The people of Wigan are behind this.

“Imagine if trafficking was happening in Wigan and we did nothing. The people of Wigan are great at supporting causes and sales from the single could make an impact.

“It would be great if the people of Wigan could get behind this as its currently going to hit number eight in the charts.”

Anyone wishing to support the single can download it for 99p on itunes or
