THE Ting Tings have been busy performing across the globe.

The duo, which consists of Lowton-born Katie White and drummer Jules de Martino, have been making soundwaves in America, playing a number of gigs in Philadelphia and Chicago.

They also proved a hit on TV, performing two tracks from their second album, Sounds of Nowheresville - Hit Me Down Sonny and Give It Back on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

They returned to the UK and played at Workplay, in Birmingham, last Tuesday,

And they will fly to Paris to play an interactive concert on Wednesday at the Palais Royal square.

The expected 1,500 people attending the concert will be invted to share the event on Facebook,

The event is organised by Orange RockCorps - a programme that rewards volunteers with concert tickets, on the basis of one ticket for four hours of volunteer work with participating charities.

A clip filmed at the event will be posted on the same social networks from May 16 to announce the launch of the fourth annual edition of Orange Rockcorps.

There have also been rumours that the duo will play at Splendour In The Grass 2012 - an annual musical fetival held in Australia in July.

But acts were announced earlier this week, and so far they are not on the list.

But they have been confirmed to play at Radio 1’s Hackney Festival on June 23 and 24.
