Tornado is out of the stormy house

DAVID McIntosh was the first housemate to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house last night, stepping out to a cheering crowd.

Despite fiance Kelly Brook tweeting fans to support her man, the former Ashton and New Springs resident received the least votes, ensuring fellow nominees Kellie Maloney, Gary Busey, Claire King and James Jordan were kept in.

The ex-marine clearly failed to make the Channel Five series “the show of shows” as he promised when he entered the house, and instead bored fans with his muscle-flexing and head-stand press-ups.

Bookies were taking bets on who would be out first and the 28-year-old was the favourite.

A spokesman for Ladbrokes said: “It shows good looks and muscles aren’t everything. David has relied on that too much and it looks like the public want an entertaining character, not just a pretty face.”

But David seemed happy to go, admitting: “I could be here eating beans and rice again tomorrow or I could be kissing my sweet baby girl. I would be an utter lunatic to want to eat more beans and rice,”
