Child’s Play – a celebration of childhood is a free, interactive experience giving families an insight into 19th century life through dressing up, games and education.

Offering an interactive chimney sweep activity, schoolroom complete with slate, chalk and even teacher dress for parents plus traditional schoolyard games, the museum is keen to show children the stark contrast to childhood in the modern day.

It is also holding Easter craft-related events on Tuesday (12.30pm to 2pm) and Thursday (1pm to 2.30pm) costing £2.50 per child.
