A NEW clubhouse has been built at a popular water ski club as the summer season gets under way.

The Three Sisters organisation in Bryn constructed the facility after obtaining £50,000 in funding from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Waterskier Stuart Lillis started developing the site on Bryn Gates Lane for water skiing and other water sports in 2006. After two years of work the man-made lake was completed, and from there, Three Sisters was established for water skiers of all abilities.

A range of national and international competitions are held at the site as it is considered one of the best slalom water skiing venues in the country. The club is affiliated with British Ski and Waterboard. Open water swimmers also use the lake for training.

Three Sisters’ new clubhouse includes new changing room which have facilities for people with disabilities, a gym, a new kitchen and a bar area. It also houses a viewing area for spectators.
