VERNON Kay and his wife Tess Daly are fast becoming one of the nation’s favourite married TV couple.
Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess reveals the pair work hard to balance looking after their two children, Phoebe, seven, and Amber, two and their TV work.
She told Now: “We’re always juggling. It’s tough. At the end of the day, your kids are always going to come first when you’re a working mum.
“It’s the eternal juggling act. Between Vernon and me, we’re there for every school run. So far we’ve done pretty good.
She added that the couple have to negotiate and discuss which presenting jobs to take.
She said: “There’s definitely compromise. You have to.”
“There are jobs we have to say no to so that we can be there for the important times in our children’s lives.”
Vernon, a former St John Rigby College pupil, and Tess co-hosted Just The Two Of Us together a few years back and are even thinking about working together again.
Tess revealed: “There’s definitely a big possibility - if Vernon behaves himself and lets me boss him around at work.
“I won’t let him be late and that sort of thing. But we really enjoyed it last time. It’s great when you don’t have to work on your chemistry.”
Despite her wish to be the boss at home, Tess admits she does not wear the trousers in their relationship.
She said: “No, no, no! I don’t wear the pants.
“Vernon wouldn’t let me get away with that.
“I’m not bossy, but I do know what I like.”
