THREE armed men threatened staff at a post office in Wigan.

A red Honda civic pulled up outside the post office/Londis store on Atherton Road, Hindley Green at around 6.30pm on Friday May 22.

Three men, two of whom were armed with crowbars and the other carrying a knife, got out of the car and went into the premises.

A fourth man stayed sat in the driver’s seat of the Civic.

The three men threatened and intimidated staff in the store and stole a large sum of cash from the tills, as well as numerous packs of cigarettes.

The three men then got back into the car and made off in the general direction of Wigan Road.

The men were all wearing balaclavas and casual sports clothing.
