A POSTBOX was torched in a blaze which fire crews suspect was started deliberately.
Firefighters were called to the incident on Bradshaw Street in Whelley at around 5.20am on Sunday.
The postbox only sustained minor damage but the contents were destroyed.
Crews from Wigan fire station used hose reels to tackle the flames in an operation which lasted around 20 minutes.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have been informed of the incident.
