STAFF at a Wigan hardware store have been instructed to swot up on Fifty Shades of Grey as they prepare for an influx of rope, cable ties and tape purchases.
B&Q, Frith Street, employees have been given copies of the most talked about books of the moment ahead of its film release date, this Friday.
The DIY chain has prepared itself for “sensitive” customer questions about products which are a prominent feature within the risque movie.
A leaked memo states copies were posted to the store and lent to the staff to read on a one-week basis.
It said: “When the book was released in 2012 DIY stores in the UK and US reported increased demand of certain products from customers as they tried to recreate their own “Fifty Shades” experiences.”
