Former Wigan Warriors prop Dom Crosby and his wife are celebrating the birth of a baby son - just over 12 months after the tragic death of their daughter.

The Wigan-born player and his wife Megan have welcomed Oscar Samuel Crosby to the world.

In a post on Instagram, he said: "Absolute cracker. First stop to see his sister. I feel truly blessed to have this beautiful boy in my life."

He paid tribute to Megan, saying she had been "his rock" over the past 12 months, since the death of their daughter Ada.

"She was absolutely brilliant with everything. Tough as they come," added Dom, who still lives locally.

The birth of the 7lb 7oz youngster attracted a stream of congratulatory messages from ex-colleagues at the Warriors and current team-mates at Warrington Wolves.
