WIGAN Warriors head coach Shaun Wane joined in when a coffee machine company merged its 24th birthday celebrations with a charity fundraiser and raised more money than ever before.

Staff at rijo42, the UK’s largest independent supplier of commercial coffee machines, who have always supported Children in Need, held an Open Day at company HQ on Friday, November 15, and invited customers, suppliers, family and friends.

The commercial coffee machine showroom at Westhoughton played host to the event and rijo42 staff provided the catering, with all team members donating food items for the buffet.

Wane had the side’s prestigious silverware in tow - the Challenge Cup and Super League trophy - which were displayed in the showroom during the event.

Sales staff Adam Smith, Phil Goodman, Youssef Mansour, Ben West and James Iddon took on the challenge of running 50k on the treadmill in return for sponsorship which helped to boost the total.
