A POPULAR Wigan video blogger has been signed up to star in a major new TV series.
Barry Titler will appear on televisions around the country later this week after he was chosen to appear in a new ITV series, Big Box Little Box.

Similar to Goggle Box, it sees ordinary people test out products and gadgets in their own homes.
The 39-year-old from Goose Green was hand-picked for the show by producers after a video he posted of himself eating a pie went viral!
He said: “The TV producer said she had seen my pie video and become a fan of mine and had been following me on YouTube for a few months – and had me in mind for a show that they were looking at doing for ITV.
“It was completely out of the blue, I was stunned to say the least.”
After months filming the new show, Barry will finally get his big break on Thursday when the six-series show airs at 8.30pm.
He added: “I must say that it has been a great experience for me so far so good and amazing to work along side a professional film crew and something that I would love the chance to do more of in future going forward.
“I would hope that something more may come of this for me and if that does happen then hey, that’s great but if not then it is not the end of my world as I still have a full time job as a window cleaner and also I still have the radio presenting thing to look into as well.
“I do hope that the town may get behind me and show the show some support.
“I feel that it is both my duty and responsibility to do something good for my home town and try to promote Wigan and the people in a good positive light at every opportunity.”
With a television debut to look forward to, Barry’s TV success is a far cry from his situation five years, which he describes as a “personal low”.
“I was miserable and at the bottom of what had been a rather steep and slippery slope and I was down and almost out,” he said.
“When you hit your own personal rock bottom then you either sink or swim and for me personally the only way was up and I then set about changing my life and life style.”
Barry began to take up drumming and set up a popular Wigan Drummer YouTube profile to promote his music.
It also included lighthearted videos such as one of himself sat in the van eating a pie from Gents pie shop on Pepper Lane In Standish which attracted a huge audience when it went viral.
Unbeknownst to him it was because of this he started getting noticed by television agents.
In the meantime, the entrepreneur also began his own online radio show on a volunteer basis.
Then just a couple of months ago Barry was contacted by a company called Endemol who produce shows such as Deal or No Deal, Big Brother, 8 out of 10 cats, Alan Carr Chatty Man, for their new TV show.
