A FOOTBALL-mad six-year-old amazingly predicted his favourite team’s 6-1 win, which won his mum £200.
Manchester City fan Archie Lewis drew a picture of the Old Trafford scoreboard the day before the blues recorded their biggest ever win at Manchester United.
And, as if that wasn’t enough, his mum put a £1 bet on the result coming in at odds of 200-1!
The Astley St Stephen’s pupil watched the game at home and cheered on his favourite team, as they romped to the 6-1 victory at the home of their closest rivals.
Archie, whose favourite players are Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko, was given the money by his mum after the amazing result and, to celebrate, he took his mum and dad out for dinner.
Mum Kate Torres said: “His dad and grandad are City mad and he is no different. Before every game he tries to predict the score and draws a picture of it every week.
“This week was strange because he predicted 6-1, which seemed so unbelievable.
“I said to him I would put £1 on it for him and I just could not believe it when it came true – he even predicted the goal scorers and nearly got them right too.
“He is always in his City shirt and absolutely loves them and we decided we had to let him have the money.
“We just wish we’d put a few more pounds on it.
“He has £160 left to spend after he very kindly offered to pay for a meal out on Sunday evening and I am sure it may involve a trip to the City store at some point.”
Archie, who lives in Long Croft, Astley, said: “I always like to try and guess the score. I thought we had been playing well and scoring lots of goals and 6-1 just came into my head, so I drew the picture.”
So what about Archie’s next prediction? He said: “I’m predicting a 4-2 win for Man City against Wolves on Saturday.”
