People in Wigan and Leigh will join those around the country to observe a minute’s silence at 11am.

Wigan Council has invited people to gather at Believe Square in Wigan and Civic Square in Leigh to pay their respects.

The silence will mark the nation’s solidarity with those who were killed or injured in the blast, as well as others affected by the atrocity.

It follows a minute’s silence held on Tuesday morning at Believe Square and public vigils held in both Wigan and Leigh on Tuesday evening.

A man was arrested in Wigan yesterday as part of the investigation into the Manchester bombing.
