THE first round of judging is complete and the Wigan Observer can now reveal which local firms will be battling out for trophies in the 2013 Wigan Business Awards.

Organisers Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has published the names of those who are vying for nine prizes at a glittering ceremony next month including the coveted Business of the Year gong.

These annual awards have been sponsored yet again by NatWest, with associate sponsorship from Stephensons Solicitors and Tudor North West.

The Chamber received a huge number of high-quality entries across all the categories, and after careful consideration, has selected the following:
