Criminal lawyer switches firm after 30 years

A WELL-KNOWN local solicitor has been appointed to a law firm’s crime team.

Bob Toppin has more than 35 years’ legal experience and a long history of working on criminal cases. He is well known locally and has worked on hundreds of criminal cases in the borough courts.

He joins Stephensons from Widdows Mason where he was a criminal and family partner and senior partner for the past 30 years. Prior to this, he qualified and worked as a solicitor at Colin Watson’s in Warrington.

Mr Toppin said: “I’m excited to have joined such a well-known crime team. I’m looking forward to contributing to the continuing success of this thriving practice”.
