SMALLER Wigan businesses are being invited to a series of one-day workshops on Government support for business research, development and innovation.
The next free workshop is in the North West in Warrington on February 13 and is for SMEs and their professional advisors.
Bob Gaiger from HM Revenue and Customs said: “Staying competitive and growing a business in today’s highly challenging trading conditions is tough. However, a range of Government supports are available to help your business innovate and grow.
“The Government is running a series of free practical workshops for small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) with the appetite and potential to grow.
“Why not come along to the Warrington event and find out how we can help?”
Areas covered include: using research and development tax credit relief to invest more in R&D; planning for the reduced (10 per cent) rate of corporation tax on profits attributable to patents; and networking with peers in R&D.
The workshops are organised by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS).
The Warrington one takes place at STFC Daresbury Laboratory Lecture Theatre, Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus, Warrington, WA4 4AD. To book, go to the BIS website.
