THE Co-operative is staging a series of Wigan skills workshops as part of a national campaign to tackle youth unemployment.

Following on from last year’s successful pilot, the food and grocery industry has launched “Feeding Britain’s Future – Skills for Work Month 2013” to help youngsters gain the skills they need to get into work. The Co-operative is hosting a session at its Wigan Road store for 20 young unemployed people aged 16 to 24. During the workshop they will receive training in the skills they need to secure jobs, such as creating a CV and interview techniques, as well as food retial careers. Contact,/feedingbritainsfuture
